# Why does Tradovate connection open my browser?

> Only if you chose Sign in with browser. That option opens the normal Tradovate page in your default browser, you approve it, and Copilink picks up the result when you come back. Automatic sign-in does not use your browser at all. It signs in through a small built-in page and only shows it if Tradovate asks you for a code, a CAPTCHA, or consent.

## Answer

Only if you chose Sign in with browser. That option opens the normal Tradovate page in your default browser, you approve it, and Copilink picks up the result when you come back. Automatic sign-in does not use your browser at all. It signs in through a small built-in page and only shows it if Tradovate asks you for a code, a CAPTCHA, or consent.
