## Quick facts

- Product: Copilink Standalone
- Direct Tradovate and Rithmic desktop workflow
- Windows x64, macOS Intel, and macOS Apple silicon
- Local copying with per-follower sizing, account safeguards, analytics, and journaling

## What it does

Enter your Rithmic login, choose the server location and system your firm gave you, mark real-money accounts, and use Rithmic's market data for all your accounts.

## Why traders choose Copilink Standalone

- Choose a direct Tradovate and Rithmic desktop workflow on Windows or macOS, or stay entirely inside NinjaTrader 8 with the dedicated add-on.
- Manage exact or ratio-based follower sizing, per-account safeguards, and prop-firm-style risk rules from one focused workflow.
- Keep copying local on the trader's machine while cloud sync powers web analytics and journaling.

## Before you start

- Your Rithmic username and password.
- The server location and system name from your broker or prop firm.

## Add the connection

1. **Enter your login.** Open Connections → Add connection → Rithmic and enter your Rithmic username and password.
2. **Choose the server location.** Pick the location your broker or prop firm gave you. Copilink then loads the systems available to your login there, which can take up to about 15 seconds.
3. **Choose the system.** Pick the exact system your login uses. Copilink lists only the systems Rithmic returns for your login and location.
If it fails: If your system isn't listed, check the username, password, and location, then ask your firm which location and system to use.
4. **Mark real-money accounts.** Tick This is a live-money account only if this login trades real money. Leave it off for evaluations, simulated funded accounts, paper, and test systems. Copilink applies stricter safety checks to live accounts; for example, it won't copy into a live account if it can't record the trade.
5. **Connect.** Optionally tick Reconnect automatically when Copilink starts, then press Connect.
Success: The row says Connected and lists the accounts you expected.

## Where your password is kept

Your Rithmic password is saved in Windows Credential Manager or macOS Keychain on this computer. It is never written to Copilink settings or backups. After you restore a backup on another computer, add the connection again with your password.

Auto-reconnect uses the saved password each time Copilink starts. It can't fix a wrong password, location, or system, or a broker outage.

## Rithmic market data

Rithmic logins come with live prices. Copilink shares them with every connected account, including Tradovate accounts, for the same contracts. That's why we recommend keeping one Rithmic account connected even if you don't trade it. See [Market data and Live P&L](https://copilink.com/standalone/user-guide/market-data-and-live-pnl).

## Check it worked

- The row says Connected with the right accounts.
- With a position open (one micro contract is enough), Live P&L in the top bar reads Live P&L active.

## If something goes wrong

- Systems don't load: check the username, password, and location, wait for the current load to finish, then try again.
- Authentication failed after a restore: remove the connection and add it again with your current password.
- An account is missing: check you chose the right system, then ask your firm about access to that account.
