## Why traders choose Copilink Standalone

- Choose a direct Tradovate and Rithmic desktop workflow on Windows or macOS, or stay entirely inside NinjaTrader 8 with the dedicated add-on.
- Manage exact or ratio-based follower sizing, per-account safeguards, and prop-firm-style risk rules from one focused workflow.
- Keep copying local on the trader's machine while cloud sync powers web analytics and journaling.

## A to F

_Terms A to F_
| Term | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Allowed instruments | An optional list of symbols a profile may copy. Empty means everything. |
| Auto-reconnect | Reconnects a broker login each time Copilink starts. |
| Broker snapshot | An account-wide balance fetched from Tradovate when there's no live price. Slower than live prices. |
| Cloud sync | Uploads recorded trades to your Copilink web account. Separate from copying. |
| Consistency | A prop-firm rule comparing your best day with your goal or total profit. A limit on evaluation accounts, tracked only on funded accounts. |
| Cross | A follower option that swaps a mini contract for its micro pair, or the other way round. |
| Disengage | Switch a follower off so it gets no new copies. It doesn't close the follower's position. |
| Evaluation goal buffer | Extra profit added to the evaluation goal before Copilink closes out, to leave room for the closing fill. |
| Flatten | Cancel copied orders and send a request to close an account's position. The broker decides whether it fills. |
| Follower | An account that copies the leader. |
| Follower profile | A saved copying setup: one leader, its followers, their sizes, and protection settings. One runs at a time. |
| Follower protection | Closes a follower that stays out of step with, or opposite to, the leader. |

## I to R

_Terms I to R_
| Term | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Intraday drawdown | How far an account is below today's highest balance. Tracked only; Copilink never closes an account for it. |
| Leader | The account you trade. Its orders are copied to the followers. |
| Limit hit | A risk limit was reached and the account was closed out. Clears when the limit is no longer reached. |
| Live P&L | Copilink's running P&L for open positions, calculated from live prices or, as a fallback, broker snapshots. |
| Locked | Nothing is copied into the account for the rest of the trading day because a limit with a lock was reached. |
| Market data | Live prices. Needed for fast P&L, not for copying. |
| Opposite position | The leader is long and the follower short, or the other way round. |
| Out of sync | A follower's position doesn't match the leader's position × its ratio. |
| Protective stop | A stop order on the opposite side of an open position, placed to limit a loss. |
| Ratio | Multiplies the leader's quantity for a follower. The result is rounded down to whole contracts. |
| Reduced protection | Live P&L is using Tradovate snapshots because there's no live price. Limits work, but slower. |

## S to Z

_Terms S to Z_
| Term | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| Stop-loss sync | A profile option that keeps the leader's stop the same size as its position and resizes followers' copied stops to match. |
| Trade | In Dashboard and Trade log, one entry-to-exit, including the leader and every follower that copied it. |
| Trading day | For risk limits, the session set in Settings (by default 5:00 PM to 4:00 PM Chicago time). Dashboard and Trade log use calendar days instead. |
| Working order | An order accepted by the broker that hasn't filled or been cancelled yet. |
