Copilink Standalone · Tradecopia alternative

The Tradecopia alternative for Tradovate and Rithmic accounts.

Tradecopia Pro and Copilink Standalone both run on your own computer, so the choice comes down to price, trial terms and what happens when a limit trips. Copilink costs $28.88 to $37.88 a month, its 14-day trial asks for no card, and a breached limit sends your broker a flatten request. Tradecopia Pro lists at $49.99 a month, needs a card before its 7-day trial starts, and covers two things Copilink does not: TopstepX, and TradingView alerts as a leader. For Tradovate or Rithmic accounts with the logins kept on your machine, Copilink costs less and spells out what each limit does. For TopstepX, alert-driven entries, or a hosted tier that keeps copying with your computer off, choose Tradecopia.

Tradecopia review: what it does well, where it costs you.

Tradecopia does more than we do in a few places: more platforms, a hosted option and a position reconciler. Here is where that matters, and where the bill adds up.

Where it is strong

  • Five platforms in one group

Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, TopstepX, and TradingView, and a leader on one can feed followers on another. If you hold a TopstepX account or fire entries from TradingView alerts, this is the reason to pick Tradecopia.

  • A hosted tier when you want one

Pro+ Lite runs in a browser on managed hosting, Pro+ on a dedicated VPS with a static IP. Your computer can be off. Copilink does not offer this.

  • Real per-account risk controls

Daily loss and profit limits, trade limits, per-account multipliers, a consistency tracker, and drawdown-distance monitoring are itemized on its pages. Most cloud copiers publish less than that.

  • A public reputation

It cites 4.8 out of 5 from 300 or more Trustpilot reviews. Reddit threads about it run both ways, which is true of every copier with real users.

Where traders run into limits

  • $49.99 a month before discounts

That is $599.88 a year for the desktop tier at list price, or $419.92 billed quarterly. Copilink Core is $289.88 a year, Suite $379.88. The hosted tiers run $719.92 to $1,799.88 a year.

  • The trial needs a card and charges on day 7

One trial per user and per payment method, and the first charge lands unless you cancel in time. Every purchase is final, with one courtesy prorated refund per customer, less a fee. Put the renewal date in your calendar before you start.

  • No latency number, and third parties disagree

Its pages say "real time". One review site quotes "under 50 milliseconds"; another repeats a 1.6 ms figure that is Copilink's published measurement, not Tradecopia's. If a number matters to you, ask them for one with a method attached.

  • Breach behavior is not spelled out

The rules are listed, but the pages we read don't say whether crossing one triggers a flatten, a lockout or only an alert. Get that answer from Tradecopia before a funded account depends on it.

Tradecopia pricing as a yearly number.

Monthly prices hide the real cost of a copier you run every trading day. The table puts each plan on a twelve-month footing, at list and on each vendor's cheapest billing.

Tradecopia also advertises 30 percent off the first month with a code. Its page says discounts apply to the first billing cycle only and cannot be stacked, so that is a one-time $15.00 saving on Pro, not a lower rate.

Yearly cost of Tradecopia and Copilink Standalone plans
PlanList, per month12 months at list12 months, best billing
Pro (Desktop)$49.99$599.88$419.92billed quarterly, 30% off
Pro+ Lite (hosted)$79.99$959.88$719.92billed quarterly, 25% off
Pro+ (dedicated VPS)$149.99$1,799.88$1,439.92billed quarterly, 20% off
Copilink Standalone Core$28.88$346.56$289.88annual
Copilink Standalone Suite$37.88$454.56$379.88annual

Like for like, the desktop tiers are the fair comparison: Tradecopia Pro at $419.92 a year on its best billing against Copilink Core at $289.88 or Suite at $379.88. Suite is the closer match in features: journal, analytics and two licensed machines, where Tradecopia Pro is licensed for one. Neither product refunds unused time, so the billing period you pick is the commitment you make.

What Copilink does differently, and why.

Local only, on purpose

If you run Tradecopia Pro today, the copier already sits on your computer, and Copilink keeps it there. What you give up is the option to move to hosted copying, as Pro+ Lite and Pro+ offer. Broker passwords stay in Credential Manager or Keychain. Copilink only receives your license key and machine ID, and synced trade history if you opt in.

Rules that act, and say so

Tradecopia's list is long, but it doesn't say whether a breach means a flatten, a lockout or an alert. Copilink answers per rule. Daily loss, daily profit, evaluation goal and evaluation consistency close the account out through a flatten request, and the optional lock keeps it out of copying for the rest of the trading day. Drawdown distance and funded consistency are tracked but never acted on. Your broker still has the last word on every close-out.

A number with a method

Tradecopia says "real time" and times it from the leader's fill to the follower broker's acknowledgement, without giving a figure. Copilink gives one and keeps it narrow: 4.91 ms of internal work per follower event, measured on 2,171 events, with network and broker time outside the clock. A fill-to-acknowledgement number would include both, so the two never compare directly.

Read the measurement

A trial you cannot forget to cancel

Tradecopia's trial needs a card first and bills you on day 7. Copilink's takes an email, runs 14 days with full Suite access on two machines, and ends. If it is not right, nothing happens. If it is, you pick Core or Suite and a billing period with the numbers in front of you.

When Tradecopia is the right pick.

Your accounts are on TopstepX

Topstep runs on TopstepX, a ProjectX platform. Copilink Standalone does not connect to it and we do not have a date for that. Tradecopia does. Almost every other major futures firm issues Tradovate or Rithmic accounts, which is where Copilink works.

Your entries come from TradingView alerts

Because Copilink follows the leader account itself, it works as a TradingView trade copier for trades you place on a chart connected to a Tradovate leader. It has no webhook receiver, though. If an alert-driven TradingView strategy is your leader, Tradecopia connects to it directly and Copilink can't stand in.

You need it running with the computer off

Pro+ Lite and Pro+ exist for this, at $79.99 and $149.99a month at list. With Copilink you would rent a Windows VPS and look after it yourself. If paying Tradecopia to host the copier is worth it to you, it's a fair choice.

You want a copier to fix drift for you

Tradecopia lists a position reconciler that re-aligns a drifted follower after a disconnect. Copilink's follower protection flattens or disengages instead, so a human decides what happens next. Some traders want the first behavior. Know which one you are.

Switching from Tradecopia without a gap.

Set Copilink up first, move one group at a time, and cancel Tradecopia last.

  1. 01

    Install Copilink next to Tradecopia

The trial is free and asks for no card, so leave Tradecopia running. On Pro, use the same computer. On Pro+ Lite or Pro+, put Copilink on a Windows VPS you rent if you need copying with your computer off.

  2. 02

Add your Tradovate and Rithmic logins

Those are the two connections Copilink has, so a TopstepX account stays with Tradecopia. Copilink can sign in to Tradovate for you or hand you to Tradovate's page in your browser; Rithmic needs the system and location your firm issued.

  3. 03

Rebuild one group, not all of them

Multipliers carry over as ratios: 0.5 stays 0.5, rounded down to whole contracts. Enable only the followers each firm lets you copy to, and turn the group off in Tradecopia so nothing is copied twice.

  4. 04

Copy one micro contract, then decide on drift

Close it, then check every follower at the broker: did it fill, at what size, and does Activity agree? Copilink won't reconcile a drifted follower the way Tradecopia does; it flattens or disengages it, so choose a protection delay between 1 and 120 seconds.

  5. 05

Cancel Tradecopia at the end of a billing period

Tradecopia treats purchases as final, apart from one courtesy refund that is prorated and carries a fee, so time the cancel to the end of a paid period.

Tradecopia against the rest.

Tradecopia vs TradeSyncer is the comparison people search most. The short answer: both are subscriptions, TradeSyncer is cloud only with per-connection account caps, Tradecopia gives you a desktop option and unlimited followers. We keep the three-way Tradecopia vs TradeSyncer vs Copilink table on the TradeSyncer page.

Tradecopia vs Replikanto is a category mismatch. Replikanto is a NinjaTrader 8 add-on with a one-time license and no risk management; Tradecopia is a multi-platform subscription. If you live inside NinjaTrader, the fair comparison is Replikanto against Copilink for NinjaTrader 8, which is a one-time license with the Risk edition on top.

Tradecopia questions, answered plainly.

Price, platforms, the trial, speed, and one piece of misinformation that ranks.

Is Copilink cheaper than Tradecopia?

Yes at every tier. Pro, Tradecopia's desktop plan, lists at $49.99 a month, or $34.99 a month when billed quarterly. Copilink Core costs $28.88 a month ($289.88 a year). Suite costs $37.88 ($379.88 a year) and adds the full Web Journal, advanced analytics and a second licensed machine. Against Pro, Core saves you $130.04 to $310.00 a year.

Does Copilink work with TopstepX or TradingView like Tradecopia does?

TradingView yes, TopstepX no. Copilink Standalone copies trades you place from TradingView on a Tradovate leader account. It has no TopstepX or ProjectX connection and no webhook receiver for TradingView alerts. If you need TopstepX or alert-driven entries, Tradecopia supports them and Copilink does not.

Can Copilink keep copying while my computer is off?

Not by itself. Copilink has nothing like Pro+ Lite or Pro+: it copies only while its own computer is switched on and connected. For unattended copying, install it on a Windows VPS you rent, which then uses one of your licensed machines.

Does Tradecopia have a free trial?

Seven days on its Pro and Pro+ Lite tiers, as read on its pricing page. It requires a payment method, allows one trial per user and per payment method, and charges the first month unless you cancel before day 7. Copilink's trial runs 14 days, asks for no card, and simply ends if you don't subscribe.

Which one is faster?

We can't say, because Tradecopia publishes no number. It times from the leader's fill to the follower broker's acknowledgement, which includes network time. Copilink's 4.91 ms covers only its own work on each follower event, averaged over 2,171 events, so even a Tradecopia figure wouldn't line up with it. Our methodology page has the full method. Either one beats copying by hand by a wide margin.

Is Tradecopia an MT4 or MT5 copier?

No, although a couple of comparison posts that rank for its name say so. Tradecopia is a futures copier for Tradovate, NinjaTrader, Rithmic, TopstepX, and TradingView. Neither Tradecopia nor Copilink copies MetaTrader accounts.

Try it before your Tradecopia renewal.

Two weeks of Suite, with no payment method on file. Rebuild one Tradecopia group as a profile, copy a single micro contract, and check the result at your broker before the renewal date comes round.
