Prerequisites
- A Copilink account with a current Standalone trial or subscription.
- A supported Windows x64, macOS Intel, or macOS Apple-silicon computer.
- Internet access for sign-in, license validation, downloads, and broker connections.
Choose the correct installer
Open Downloads in your Copilink dashboard. Choose Windows x64, macOS Intel, or macOS Apple silicon. On a Mac, Apple menu → About This Mac identifies whether the processor is Intel or Apple silicon.
Install and open Copilink
Run the downloaded package
Complete the operating-system installer for the package you selected.
Success: Copilink appears as an installed application and opens normally.
If not: If the package does not open, download it again from the dashboard and confirm you chose the correct operating system and processor.
Open one instance
Launch Copilink. Only one instance runs at a time.
Success: The Copilink sign-in window appears.
If not: If Copilink says it is already running, return to the existing window instead of opening another copy.
Sign in and validate access
Enter your Copilink credentials
Use the email and password for your Copilink account. Do not enter Tradovate or Rithmic credentials here.
Success: The workspace opens after account and license validation.
If not: Check the email, password, internet connection, and system clock, then retry once.
Choose Remember me on a trusted computer
Remember me stores the email and allows a validated device session to be reused. It does not store your password.
Success: A later launch can validate the saved session before opening the workspace.
Confirm Account & License
Open Account & License and confirm the signed-in email, plan label, access state, and Device ID.
Success: The expected identity and current access are visible.
If not: Reopen the page to request a background refresh. If the service reports expired or revoked access, manage the account online or contact support.
Device and session behavior
- Core includes one licensed machine. Suite includes two. Paid machine add-ons increase the allowance shown in the dashboard.
- The device activates when the desktop app signs in. The Machines page shows active sessions and lets the account owner revoke a machine subject to the current reset policy.
- A temporary Copilink account-service outage can use a previously validated remembered session for up to 24 hours. Broker connectivity still requires internet access.
- A server-declared expiry or revocation stops copying and monitoring immediately and returns to sign-in.
Installed version and updates
Find the installed version in Settings → Updates or About. Automatic in-app updates work only from an installed production package. A staged update is not installed until Copilink restarts.
For update safety, open the App updates guide before restarting an active trading setup.
What success looks like
- Copilink opens as an installed application.
- Account & License shows the expected email, plan, and Device ID.
- The main workspace opens without an access error.
Troubleshooting
- Invalid credentials: verify the Copilink email and password, not broker credentials.
- Device limit reached: open Dashboard → Machines and review active devices or machine capacity.
- Account service unavailable: retry with internet access; only a remembered, recently validated session can use the temporary grace period.
- Workspace-owner warning: Cancel preserves the prior local workspace and signs out. Continue archives and resets the prior user's saved connections, profiles, and risk configuration; it does not change broker positions.
