Use the Trade log and web journal

The desktop Trade log reconstructs sessions from order and fill activity Copilink received and stored. Cloud sync can link those local sessions to web trade, session, journal, and analytics views without sitting in the live copying path.

Prerequisites

  • Copilink received and stored order or fill activity for the session you want to review.
  • Cloud sync enabled only when web links are needed.
  • Broker order and fill history available when investigating a mismatch.

Local Trade log

  • Use previous, next, Today, calendar date, or All to select local sessions.
  • Search and filter by symbol and open or closed state.
  • Summary cards show session count and compatible P&L or points, plus winning and losing sessions.
  • Rows include opened and closed times, symbol, side, accounts, leader P&L, combined P&L, and cloud-link state.
  • Refresh rereads local records; it does not download a complete broker statement.

A trade session groups entry-through-exit activity reconstructed from related broker order and fill events. One session can include leader and follower legs for the same trading idea.

Trade-log values
OpenThe reconstructed session has not reached a complete flat end.It is not proof of current broker exposure; verify the broker.
ClosedCopilink reconstructed a complete session. It is not an audit of every broker order.
Leader P&LResult attributed to a confidently identified leader leg.Sessions without reliable leader identification can be omitted from leader-only figures.
Combined P&LCompatible results across participating account legs.Incomplete costs or mixed currencies can leave money unavailable.
PointsCompatible instrument price movement when a complete money total is unavailable.Copilink leaves incompatible or incomplete values unavailable instead of guessing.

Inspect one trade session

  1. Open the session

Select a row and choose View selected trade, or open it from Dashboard.

  2. Compare account legs

Review leader and follower quantities, fill times, realized P&L, and costs.

  3. Read the timeline

Identify the last order or fill event Copilink received and any missing, rejected, or incomplete follower leg.

  4. Compare with the broker

Use broker order IDs, fills, positions, and statements as the final record.

When cloud sync is disabled, eligible history remains local and copying continues. New web links do not become ready until sync is enabled and the session is acknowledged and linked.

What uploads and what stays local

  • Cloud sync uploads reconstructed trade-history and journal records needed for web review.
  • It does not upload broker usernames or passwords, Tradovate or Copilink session tokens, a general raw broker-event dump, diagnostic logs, or support bundles.
  • Local records and pending upload state remain on the device when the service is offline.

Missing, incomplete, or unsynced history

  1. Check the broker record

Confirm the trade, fills, and dates at the broker first.

  2. Clear local filters

Use All, clear search and symbol/status filters, and check adjacent calendar dates in the configured Trading time zone.

  3. Refresh

Refresh Dashboard and Trade log and open any partial session to identify the last received event.

  4. Check capture conditions

Determine whether Copilink was open, connected, and able to store local history while the activity occurred.

  5. Check cloud state

For a missing web link, enable sync, confirm sign-in, choose Sync now, and wait for the individual session to receive a link.

What success looks like

  • The intended local session appears under the correct calendar date or All.
  • Account legs and timeline events match the activity Copilink received.
  • A cloud-linked session opens its web trade view when access and sync are ready.
  • Suite users can open the full journal and entitled analytics features.

Troubleshooting

  • Trade missing: clear filters, check adjacent dates, refresh, and confirm Copilink was open with healthy storage.
  • Session incomplete: compare the final received timeline event with broker fills and use the broker record as authoritative.
  • Web link disabled: inspect Off, Offline, Preparing, Syncing, Needs attention, and the session's own linked state.
  • P&L differs: compare grouping, fills, commissions, fees, currency, and leader identification.
